Tales of a 4th Grade Muppet

I've been reading book 2 of Kirk Scroggs' "Tales of a 6th Grade Muppet" It's about Danvers Blickinsderfer's continuing life as a Muppet. But when a new kid is in town. It's up to Muppet yukmeisters Pepe the Prawn, Fozzie Bear and Rowlf to help him regain his title of "Class Clown" Meanwhile, Danvers' evil little sister Chloe has been stealing Miss Piggy's thunder by getting her own gig at the Muppet Theater. When I think about, I've been also thinking what life will be like if I was a Muppet. If the Theater would pop out of nowhere and Statler and Waldorf would heckle me everywhere I go. Well, if that happens. But just like Rafiki from The Lion King says "Look beyond what you see."

Tomorrow

Tomorrow night my mom and dad and Jack are going to some party my mom is doing downtown. I'm not going because crowds make me unhappy. I am going to my Uncle John's house instead. Yippee! I havn't been to Uncle John's in two months or something. We are going to eat pizza and hang out. I like to go to Uncle John's and watch tv, use the internet on his tv and hang out. He has some sort of skee ball  arcade game but it is broken. Uncle John is my dad's older brother and he used to beat up my dad when they were little. But he doesn't beat up dad anymore because they are adults now.

Our Field Trips

The past week, my class went to see a movie. It's a documentary called "Chimpanzee" which was narrated by none other than Tim Allen. By the way, before we went to see the movie, we've been learning about chimps. Then yesterday, we went to the Museum of Science and Industry. It was so mind-blowing, I feel like I could go in that exhibit.  But it was all fun to end. Also, tomorrow is I"ce cream" Day. Mmm, ice cream.

The Disney Junior Channel

Two months ago, the new Disney Junior channel was brought out with the first program to air, Doc McStuffins. It also has the shows from out childhood like The Koala Brothers, 101 Dalmatians, Stanley, The Little Mermaid and many more. But spoiler alert. It didn't bring back the shows I wished for. Like House of Mouse, PB&J Otter, Aladdin...holy moly! Disney got shows from our childhood that didn't show up! Well, we can always wait. There were some shows that weren't related to Disney like The Muppet Show, Kirby Right back at Ya, The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show and the Shrek specials. Like I said before, we can always wait. See you later dudes!

Gloom!

My parents are watching Glee. I like the show. The prom theme was dinosaurs, which was cool, but Jack said they would play the theme from the Flintstones, but they didn't. It was a big disappointment. Hanna Barbera, the creator of the Flintstones left their shows including Tom and Jerry in their legacy when William Hanna died in 2001 and Joesph Barbara passed away in 2006. Like for instance, the opening to the 1960s series was left in an episode of The Simpsons. Then the Jetsons came in to be referred many times in there. In the season 10 episode "When you Dish upon a Star", Homer imagined he and Bart were Yogi Bear and Boo Boo while Ned Flanders was Ranger Smith. Later on, Homer dreamt he was Magilla Gorilla. Let me explain.

  • "Kamp Krusty" - The couch gag has the family running up to the couch, only to find The Flintstones occupying it.
  • "Treehouse of Horror III" - A grave for Fish Police is seen.
  • "Marge vs. the Monorail" - The opening parodies the opening of The Flinstones. Homer even sings a parody of the theme song.
  • "The Front" - Roger Meyer's Jr. notes that animators reuse backgrounds to save cost as he, bart and Lisa pass by the same door, water cooloer and cleaning lady several times. This parodies the fact that Hannah-Barbera reuses their backgrounds many times.
  • "Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadasssss Song" - When Ralph sees Santa's Little Helper in the air ducts, Ms. Hoover claims that he also saw Snagglepuss
  • "Lady Bouvier's Lover" - Comic Book Guy shows Bart a cell of Snagglepuss to show a cell that worth something, as apposed to the cell of Scratchy's arm Bart was trying to sell him.
  • "Treehouse of Horror V" - During "Time and Punishment", at one point, the house turns into The Flinstones house.
  • "Grampa vs. Sexual Inadequacy" and "Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Part One)" - The couch gag features the famiy in Hanna-Barbere poses running past the couch several times.
  • "A Star is Burns" - Bart watches "The Jestons Meet the Flintstones". Homer later makes a joke, "Scooby-Doo can do-do, but Jimmy Carter is smarter".
  • "Much Apu About Nothing" - Moe tells the mayor a bear stole his "pic-a-nic" basket.
  • "The Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase" and "HOMЯ" - A character named Ozmodiar appears that Homer can see, a parody of "The Great Gazoo" who only Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble could see.
  • "The Day the Violence Died" - When Roger Myer's Jr. states that animation is based on plagiarism, he uses Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound and Top Cat as examples.
  • "When You Dish Upon a Star" - Homer dreams he's Yogi Bear, with Bart as "Bart-Bart" and Ned Flanders as the Park Ranger. Later he dreams that he's Magilla Gorilla.
  • "Children of a Lesser Clod" - In Homer's basketball fantasy, he is hit in the leg by George Jetson's flying saucer, to which he yells "JETSON!" in the same his boss, Mr. Spacely did.
  • "Trilogy of Error" - During his druken rambling, Homer mentions that The Blue Men Group are rip-offs of The Smurfs.
  • "Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder" - Homer uses Fred Flintstone's bowling technique.
  • "Behind the Laughter" - At the end of the episode, a promo for the next "Behind the Laughter" show the next subject will be Huckleberry Hound.
  • "A Star Is Born-Again" - Upon hearing that Ned Flanders has a date with a movie star, a mall security guard sarcasticly replies "Sure, and I'm going apple-picking with Scooby Doo!"
  • "My Big Fat Geek Wedding" - Lenny dress as George Jetson at the sci-fi convention

  • Anyway, back to Glee. They're reaching the "halfway-to-the-series-finale mark" According to the season 3 soundtrack ad, some of the cast are wearing graduation outfits. Which by the way, foreshadows the finale which will air next Tuesday. See you later dudes!

    I can't think

I hate when I can't think of what to write. I got 100% on my paper on the Quartering Act, but that is kind of boring.  It was Ryan G's birthday! He says he's going to have a slumber party in his room and I'm invited. But I don't know when the party is. :-( Ryan is moving to Arizona this summer. I'm pretty sad because he is my best friend.

That's all. I got nothing else tonight.

    Jack likes a GIRL

My brother Jack finally likes a girl. She's in 8th grade and has red hair. He gave her flowers for the play. They were 3 yellow roses and some little white flowers. All I can say is....Jack has a girlfriend! Jack has a girlfriend! Jack has a girlfriend! Woo ha ha ha ha ha ha! Maybe she is not his girlfriend, though. I don't know if she likes HIM. Jack is looking at this blog post and saying that he is going to beat me with a stick. He has a stick that he picked up in the street when he walked home with his friend Ian.
