The game takes place after Kingdom Hearts, where Sora and his pals Donald and Goofy continue to find Riku after finding Kairi. Eventually, in a field one dark night, a man in a black coat appears behind Sora telling him about two crossroads. The one to light and the one to darkness. The guys end up at a place called Castle Obilvion. When reaching the main hall in the first floor, Jiminy finds out that some entries from his journal have disappeared. Sora and Donald were confused about a light yellow at the end of the hall and Goofy finds a person with the same black coat!
