Happy Birthday Cap'n Tazer!

Today is the birthday of the one and only Jonathan Toews, our favorite hockey player. He was born on this day way back in 1988, so that means he's 26. He's 10 years older than Jack, who was born in 1998 and 13 years older than yours truly, born in 2001. He's already won 2 Stanley Cups, 2 Olympic gold medals and a World gold medal. I think Jack and I better step up our game. Though I was in the newspaper and Jack just won some awards at school, so we're not doing TOO bad. Also, mom thinks we're very handsome, so we've got that on our side.

Also, this date is the birthday of my news soccer ball erasers that I found on Amazon. Sadly, I've already lost the black one. Mom says she will find it, but I have my doubts, seeing as how they're so small.

MOAR Hockey!

We're watching more Hockey. The Hawks are playing the St Louis Blues in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. This is the 4th game. The Blues won the first 2, but then the Hawks won game # 3. Now they are playing game #4 and they are tied at zero.

Brent Seabrook, who is #7 got suspended for 3 games for hitting the captain of the Blues, David Backes. He smacked Backes in the head with his shoulder and Backes didn't look very good after that. I don't think Brent Seabrook meant to smack him in the head, but he probably should have been more careful.

Ha ha. The bank commercial is on where the guy has has a debit card with the Hawks logo on it and it means that Hawks players are with him all the time. I like the one where they swim with him in the pool!

The Soundtrack's a Happy Song (literally)

I got the soundtrack for Muppets Most Wanted in my Easter basket along with a Pikachu plush and Yoshi's New Island. Now, I loved Muppets Most Wanted but the music is what really stole me. Now, before I continue, another favorite song of mine in this was the Interrogation Song. It had such a catchy beat and hilarious lyrics. Now, on with the unannounced part 2!

Cockatoo in Malibu had a romantic disco beat that made it special. Although it can be a little strange at times.

The Spanish Muppet Show theme was okay but didn't live up to the great English version.

Something So Right was a nice song and was funny at times like the whole "little pink frog and little green piggy" part.

Working in the Coal Mine was catchy for the cold Gulag and it had Jemaine Clement. What else can you ask for?

Finally, Together Again again was a great tribute to Muppets Take Manhatten and it had Josh Groban, an actor my mom is a huge fan of.

Overall, Muppets Most Wanted was great movie and had a great soundtrack. For those who haven't seen it, soundtrack first movie later.

This is What I call the Muppets Most Wanted Review!!!!

Well, you all wanted it so here it is: my review of the recent puppet flick, Muppets Most Wanted!

The story here is that after thinking up a sequel in the form of a fouth wall break and song-&-dance routine, the Muppets go on a world tour! But one problem.....Constantine, the world's most dangerous frog and Kermit's own Shadow the Hedgehog, is on the lose and takes the place of Jim Henson's amphibian while Kermit is mistaken and thrown in the Gulag. Now, the presentation is great but there is one teeny-tiny flaw: the whole "everyone mistakes evil double for the real deal while said real deal is in big trouble" has been done before. One of the only other things I saw do this was Sonic X, and the Muppets could see it was Kermit with a weird voice unlike the colorblind humans who could see a blue hedgehog in place of one who stole a Chaos Emerald.

The songs on the other hand are awesome! My favorites would be "We're Doing a Sequel", "I'm Number One", and "Welcome to the Big House." The first one has a peppy and welcoming feel after like what, three years since the first one? Also, Gonzo mentions Toy Story 4 at one point. I'm Number One is really wild and catchy for my taste while Big House has a jazzy feel for the gloomy Iron Bars Hotel where you'll probably be locked up for a while.

I got no time to speak of the characters since it's already nine at night so I'll give a quick recommendation. For those who saw the first film, is a diehard or regular fan of the Muppets, wanted the final two seasons of The Muppet Show on DVD or just loves a world tour film then go see it. And now the rating, I'd give it an 8/10. It may not hold up as well as the first film, but it's still great.

Statler: Y'know, I've got a great idea for a third film.
Waldorf: Easy, a film about not making a film!
Both: DOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!

Vive La Resis....I mean Viva Las Vegas

My dad is currently in Las Vegas on yet another business trip. He's there for the National Association of Broadcasters or as I would call it, the NAB. An interesting thing I would like to see in LV would be the casinos, you could just waste your money so you can get more money! I really hope he would get me a souvenir, maybe a snowglobe.

I've been playing poker with a bloodthirsty lagomorph with psychic powers, an email-checking wrestleman, a sandvich loving weapons guy, an arcade owner from a webcomic, a former bodyguard, a wise-cracking robot, a time traveling boomstick-wielder and a shoeless canine crime-fighter and sort of became an expert. If I were in a casino, I'd pretty much be a poker champ.

Well as they always say, th th th th th th th that's all folks!

Happy Birthday!

This one is for my grandma, who is also my mom's mom. Happy birthday and I won't giver her age for the sake of discretion. Grandma was born in Ironwood, Michigan as the oldest of four sisters. She was married to my first grandpa and had my mom and my Uncle Sean.

She volunteers at Misericordia, likes politics, the news and me & Jack. Sometimes, me and Jack stay at my grandma's condo while Mom and Dad are at something. We would watch TV while she gets us Culver's. I used to sleep in the small couch while Jack slept on the bigger one. Since I'm growing, I got to sleep on Uncle Sean's bed. When Grandma comes over, she usually hangs out with us, but mostly talks with Mom about what to wear.

I sort of fondly remember her old place before she moved. It had the same computer as her new place, had a big door leading to a TV room and that's all I could remember.

Happy birthday Grandma, we love you!

Attack of the SCRITCH

My dad grew a beard this winter. Mom says he used to grow a beard every winter, but stopped for a while. Let me tell you, that beard has GOT TO GO. For the safety of cheeks and small children everywhere!

Dad likes to terrorize me by grabbing me and scritching my face and head with his beard! Today he threatened to rub it on my eyes. I could have been blinded. I told him that the beard should be shaved alive until nothing was left. No more of this scritchy beard tyranny!

Mom says that the next person to grow a beard will be Jack. What will I do then? I'm either going to have to go into hiding, or just give up! I think I need an old time hockey mask or maybe a Power Ranger mask to protect myself!
